He was born in Colombia, Alejandro Daza is a visual artist. In his academic process, he focused on the experimentation of organic and recyclable materials which were reflected in the areas of sculpture, engraved, ceramic and painting. He started his artistic training by studying graphic design. Later, he continued with a bachelor’s degree in visual arts at the Technological University of Pereira, Colombia.
While studying at the university, he was a cultural agent promoting the development of visual work in the region. Likewise, he was the co-founder of the free school of art “Pindaná” in the country area. As well he participated in the construction of six monumental sculptures in the city of Manizales, among them The Crist of Yarumos, sculpture of 9 meters per 9 meters.
